Fees
Please note that Woven Hearts Psychology is not a bulk billing practice. Tara endeavours to keep her session charge below that which is recommended by the Australian Psychological Society (2025-26 recommended rate is $318 per hour).
Standard Session Fees
$225 for a 50-60 minute session (in-person or telehealth). Extended sessions may be available by prior arrangement. There is no need for a referral to see a psychologist, however full payment is required upfront.
Medicare Rebates
You may be eligible for a Mental Health Treatment Plan, which provides a Medicare rebate of $145.25 per session (out of pocket cost = $79.75) for up to ten sessions per calendar year. Your GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician is required to provide you with a referral letter in order to receive this rebate. Rebates are available for telephone, online and face-to-face appointments.
Private Health
If you have private health insurance with extras cover, you may be able to claim back part of your session fee. Contact your private health fund to see if you are eligible. Please note you are not able to claim both a Medicare rebate and a rebate from your private health fund simultaneously.
NDIS
Tara is able to provide services to NDIS participants who are self-managed or plan-managed. Standard NDIS fees are charged.
Cancellation Fees
Due to the high demand for appointments, we do respectfully ask for 24 hours notice of cancellation. If less than 24 hours notice is provided, a 50% charge will be applied ($112.50). The full fee is payable if you fail to attend without any notice. Please note that Medicare and Private Health rebates cannot be claimed for cancellations.
